The recent behavior of certain Members of Parliament (MPs) who supported the controversial Finance Bill 2024 has drawn widespread condemnation. Initially, these MPs cast their votes in favor of a bill that promised to place undue financial burdens on the citizens they were elected to serve.  In voting yes majority were pleasing the master or proofing loyalty to the boss but ignoring the electorate who had contri opinions to the bill. They trembled and could not independently think and speak their mind. The public decided to say no and protested after realizing betrayal by their representatives  However, once the President, the patron of the Kenya Kwanza (KK) government, after considering the decision and will of the people was against it, He refused to sign the bill, these very MPs began a campaign of public apologies and monetary handouts, seeking forgiveness from their respective constituencies.  This duplicity is a stark betrayal of public trust.
