Good Citizens of the nation ought to be celebrated for good job done on earth and so is Benard Matumbai

Benard Boyi Matumbai, a beloved son of the late George Matumbai and mama Martha matumbai who hail from Misanga village in Soysambu Mitua Ward, Tongaren Constituency, Bungoma County, recently departed from this world in Nairobi, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and community service. His life was a testament to the values of humility, hard work, and unwavering support for his family and community.

Born and raised in Misanga village, Benard was a pillar of strength and a beacon of hope for many. His roots in Bungoma County instilled in him a deep sense of community and responsibility. Being a journalist and editor to standard group he was a dedicated young man who made very tremendous development to this nation From a young age, Benard exhibited qualities of leadership and compassion that would define his life’s journey. He was a brother to Hon. Geff Matumbai, the MP aspirant for Tongaren in 2022, and their bond was a source of mutual inspiration and support.
Benard’s life was marked by a commitment to education and personal development. He pursued his studies with determination, understanding the transformative power of knowledge. His academic journey led him to Nairobi, where he sought opportunities to further his education and career. Despite the geographical distance from his home, Benard’s heart always remained in Misanga. He frequently visited his village, engaging with the local community and contributing to its development in meaningful ways.

In Nairobi, Benard’s professional life was characterized by diligence and integrity. He worked tirelessly to ensure that he could support not only his immediate family but also his extended relatives and community members back home. His generosity knew no bounds, and he often extended a helping hand to those in need, whether through financial assistance, mentorship, or simply a listening ear.
Benard’s relationship with his brother, Hon. Geff Matumbai, was particularly special. He was a staunch supporter of Geff’s political aspirations, providing both moral and strategic support during the campaign for the 2022 MP elections. His belief in his brother’s vision for Tongaren was unwavering, and he played a crucial role in rallying community support and fostering unity among the constituents.

 He is equally a brother to Fred, Martin , Keya, Stanley, Eliud Majimbo, John ,William, Rasto , Selina,Naomi, Grace, Nanjala, among others.
He is a cousin to the late Hon Michael Kijana Wamalwa and Hon Eugine Wamalwa.
Benard will live in the hearts of many for he was very inspirational.
