ACCOUNTABILITY IS LACKING IN SOME PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS

From the theatre of the absurd, it is the ceciphying curse... That individuals who is condemned by the gods for pushing the massive rock up the mountain and whenever he gets to the top of the mountain the angel of mischief kicks and rolls the rock back to the base of the mountain...... Ceciphers must go back to the base of the mountain and push the rock up the mountain knowing very well that when he gets to the top of the mountain the angel of mischief will still roll it back to the base...... Albert Cumin concludes that ceciphers must be presumed to be comfortable with his circumstances .

Speaking as an African in the African setting ... There was the town cries who was held in high esteem and was the bearer of the touch. Who we see going round at night telling what ought to be done the following day.....

Nowadays our society is lacking such important stakeholders of the community whom we expected to give direction to the society for they are like the bearer of the touch.

Education is the pillar of our society ought to be embraced when education is moving towards the right direction and similarly whenever there is a miss in the provision of Education elites of that society ought to stand and be counted in bringing the search light showing them what ought to be done.

Some of the institution within this society are not providing education to the standard expected !!!!!

St. Paul's narati secondary school probably the most oldest school in Soysambu/Mitua ward. Majority of the residents within that part of the community learnt in this great institution. It has been performing fairly well in the recent past. Under former principals like Mr. Sindani, Mr. Siketi etc. Most recently while under the principal mr Siketi it recorded entry of up to 1000+ students. He was very focused and appeared to be very clear of the direction to which he was taking the school wherever he is parents and students and even the community is celebrating the good work of this particular principal.

Meanwhile wisdom prevailed upon the institution with authority of hiring, transferring and allocating duties to the teachers TSC and thus transferred the said leader to Munami High school in Busia county and in his post they brought Mr. Matati 

It is not clear under what circumstances did this Princial leave his former school.....but it is in public domain that nothing much had been done by him while at Munami.

Before coming to Munami he was a principal in Elgeyo MARAKWET where no one can trace the record of his performance.  The former school Munami was on it's knees. He there soughted through his friends in the employing commission to find him a school since, they were meeting for he resided from one of the towns in Bungoma.

It is very complicated to comprehend how a school that had a population of 1000+ students to somewhere below 250 students the whole school. The following concerns are questionable 

1. The school account is bankrupt to extend of the school is unable to purchase food for the students.

2. There is evidence that the said school can go to extent of having to get maize on credit from business men in Brigadier market... How??

3. Students serve on one day meal daily and are likely to serve lunch at 4pm...

4. Firewood is equally purchased from market.  How can a school if such standing buy 400 bob firewood??

5. Sometimes when things don't work it borrows food , with firewood from neighboring school!!!!

Fees are paid on time as a matter of fact a student in form one have paid up to third term fees adm no.905.... Had a balance of Ksh. 1000 but are having other students sent home for fees on daily basis.

6. The school bus is always on hire and money paid to school where do this money go to?

It is clear that the school doesn't have food security......it used to farm maize in this school what really happened ??

Employees of the school have not been paid salary for the last nine months.it is said that when they claim for payment they are threatened to be fired. Can someone tell where this school boss take this money??

Parents have lamented for long ......it runs on loyal board of management .....

Sometimes back the principal is said to have gone to the sub county Education office to demand that the chairman PTA to resign else he quits. "it is either he goes or I go" he claimed!!!!

He runs the school with only three members of the BOM.

Allegations all over are that whenever a parent goes to school to consult he seem to have instructed the security guard not to allow anyone in..... and if insisted direct him to the bursar.

This old school has no computer in either of the said offices. Accounts in the school are still analog.... 

Recently students have tolerated the behavior for long complained to their parents and the hands of the parents are tied for the BOM is compromised 

No one knows when the education office last visited this school. It Temporarily closed following the current situation of lack of quality service delivery. Ward busary issued 125000 to that school for 25students that benefited from the kitty but how sure are we that it won't be managed well if it's under same administration??

Clarion call is thus issued that the education office to intervene to audit the funds and resources usage in this school and equally find a principal who can help this school get back to the map.

If this won't work then let them bring thr former .....for honestly the school is dying.

Students and Parents inclusive of the community are tired of such undoing... "let the office bring new Principal should the school reopen otherwise we are tired of this administrative underperforming."
