PARADIGM SHIFT IN THE POLITICAL LEADERSHIP.
While we work on enhancing unity of purpose and collective responsibilty, there are those who take an advantage on any slight difference between leaders to advance their heinous intentions.
Bungoma county has been known to be united especially leaders seeking to be elected in one party or coalition. They sell their agenda together on how they will be working together to serve the interest of the electorate.
But after being elected, everyone take step forward to advance their personal interest leaving the manifestations sold to the people aside.
Minority of leaders keep in touch with the electorate on the grassroots doing what their employers ask them but a good number of leaders run to advance the interest of their lords.
He entirely follows suit the needs of his electorate before making any step he does consultations. He seeks affirmation on anything from stakeholders within his constituency.
He would rather hurt anyone else but not his employer. What a humble man!! Who recognises that he is wherever he is because of the electorate. He holds his people on a very high esteem.
He is also cautious that he belongs to the party. And utterly recognises party structures
While at a burial of one of his residents in Teremi village.... At late mama Esther He was very clear in his speech. Urging his electorate to support him. He recognised and categorically stated that he had nothing personal and had utter respect to Ford Kenya officials. He recognised Rt Hon Moses Masika Wetangula as the party leader and he owes him a lot of respect. He laid down his canvas and asked all resident of Kabuchai constituency to understand that no one influenced his statement that is misconcepted by other fellow leaders he was purely representing the information given to him by his electorate.
"I am in ford Kenya to stay....... And I will still run any elective position in Ford Kenya under Rt Hon moses Wetangula as our leader. I will never allow anyone to play with my party leader." it is normal to differ in reasoning or opinion but it doesn't mean we have become enemies.
"I want to appeal to some leaders not to bring the issues of the floor of the house to cause havoc in the party or society. What we discuss in the Asssembly is for the benefit of each MP electorate. Take note that what the people of Nyali constituency wants is not what the people of Kabuchai will want and therefore priority differs. I only represented what my electorate sent me. And by any chance if I was wrong then you my people were wrong......." A statement that was received well and the people who are the electorate owned the blame should there be one
He urged leaders not to be preoccupied by incitements within the party but focus on how best they can serve the people that elected them "this internal wars will only agitate us to concentrate on fighting one another and forget the needful role which is helping our people. Through paying school fees through bursary ensuring road network is good giving civic education to our people on current issues among other things that are Germaine" He took the opportunity to urge the residents not to sell their beans since it's harvesting season. " don't sell your beans at this through away price....rem how much you have been spending to buy them just one month ago....please take caution and we have tough days ahead hunger is just around the corner"
Present was the MCA for mukuyuni ward Hon Meshack Museveni who agree with the MP and in attendance was the director of education and vocational centres Bungoma county. They assured residents that ward bursary was out and within a week the list will be issued to the public.
The member of parliament of that particular constituency requested that the county government to issue his CDF team with the list so that when issuing their fund they first give those who haven't purely received anything. He is very keen to seeing that all school going children remain in school. Using the same opportunity to urge high school principals to also be considerate and have students be in school as they work on ways of supporting them run school activities well through bursary.
