WHO IS TO SAFE KENYANS FROM POISON OF POLITICIANS

Kenya is a very fertile land admired by many both within the continent of Africa and outside. She is. A nation that is blessed with many natural resources that could help her grow. This is a nation that anyone would want to associate with. Despite having a very terrible economy in the recent past following self-centered personalities getting authority through elections to oversee this nation, and perhaps also through sensitizing the electorate and misleading them.
1. Through rural propaganda
2. Mobilization of ethnic groupings
3. Bribing of voters during the campaign and election period.
4. Compromised individuals working in institutions in Kenya. I.e IEBC
5. Political intimidation by seniority of some political heavyweights.
6. Lack of Democratic rights and responsibility due to the electorate being forced to do as directed.
7. political hatred between competitors and their supporters.
Several concerns ought to be questioned:
> If it is a serious crime for the electorate to think outside of the box.
>if the electorate is obliged to follow the say of those they elect.
> If the ballot box has the magic of converting people to genius and philosophers- harmonic wisdom.
As we ponder on the above, our leaders have been the causes of a great letdown to the growth of our nation both Politically, economically, and otherwise.
The late H.E Mwai Kibaki was so far the sober political C.E.O of this nation in whose regime the economy of this country appreciated. He seems to have known why he wanted to lead the nation and equally appeared to have known what was the most touching issues that Kenyans suffered from. He gradually orchestrated those ideologies and by the time he left office almost every Kenyan was celebrating. It was the most remembered regime that gave hope for a bright future.
*let us choose our priorities  wisely*
Kennedy Marende is another Kenyan that makes us tall. During his tenure as the speaker of the national assembly, he discharged his duties impartially and soberly.
The most remarkable one was when, while in parliament mindful that it was through his political wing caused he was elected he partially differed with Raila Odinga. " you can't state that you have a right to answer to issues the way you so wish "
Former  CJ David Maraga equally did a lot that was needed of him in the judiciary. The most remarkable was the nullification of the Presidential election of August 2017and directed the IEBC to conduct fresh elections which was done on 26/10/2002 when those elections then the NASA brigade mobilized their supporters to boycott after which the Supreme Court upheld the results hence H.E Uhuru Kenyatta served his second term.
Raila ODINGA lacking any other option to survive politically opted to mobilize his supporters again to go to the bush. He was sworn in after which he found himself in bed with the government and the rest is history.
For how long shall we be tools of trade only during election????
For how long shall we be only wise during campaigns where politicians appear to accept almost everything we say....but turn into demi-gods after being elected???
For how long shall we be misused by political leaders whose appetite for public wealth is completely insatiable??
For how long shall the electorate be bought by taking hand-outs only to vote in the direction proposed by the handout giver???
For how long shall we wait for this paradigm shift where the electorate will vote on account of being persuaded by force of reason but not tokenism??
Something that we ought to start with is by sensitizing the populace of understanding why they go to the election. Some may be ignorant.
The above can best be done by the bearer of the blaze. The media is the latter-day town crier whose role is to tell the citizenry what ought to be done. They are the bearer of the torch that is purposed to show the path on which to walk. They are also mandated to guide even the custodians of the shrine who are our leaders that whenever they go wrong let them be warned. That this is the right track.
Unfortunately, our media does the opposite by giving politicians coverage of everything the politicians and equally promising to edit it to fit the interest of politicians. In so doing this paradigm shift will never be realized.
I am appealing that we start thinking outside the box and if possible let's think completely without the box......Muhammed Ali was a boxed he didn't go to school but reasoned well when he was told the deer was crossing the road he said NO it is the road crossing the forest the home of the deer ......
We need to ask academia to also help in giving the correct information. People who have schooled ought to educate the society in which they reside on the importance of interrogating choices presented to them sometimes I get perplexed when I see a professor also cued in the direction of misleading the populace this makes me remember the immortal words of Chakravarti Rajagopolachari an Indian nationalist who said that if the education that you acquire does not change your minds and heart to soberly agonize issues and give impartial informed direction then you aren't better than a shirt won in the morning and removed in the evening
Words that were strongly echoed by Mahatma Gandhi
Sometimes politicians appear to know it all and manipulate their followers to go in the direction they take instead of listening to the followers also. Hence, we the citizenry are plunged into hating one another because so and so has said. We go deep into ethnicities just because certain leaders said. We must stop beating the drums of ethnic lines.
We must remember that during the civil war in Nigeria Biafrans on seeing those who had surrendered said fellow brother I am happy to see you.   Meaning the victor did not gloat and the vanquished were not humiliated we have to be very vigilant and ignore those drums being beaten we are a family
How did Julius Nyerere manage to weld together all ethnicities in Tanzania it means we also can manage that if our leaders mean business. By first stopping to celebrate a leader only because he came from your ethnicity but because he is doing what is right.
This reminds me of samora Moses mashed who questioned the notion of Africans celebrating their colonial masters saying like those colonized by the British claiming to be colonized by a better colony..... He said how can slaves be celebrating how one slave master is better than the other...that was rural idiocy.
When chips are down it is a development that will revive a society not another thing and that is why the place of some constituencies are gradually outshining others when we know that the allocation of money to the kitty of CDF is equal. I am mindful that some will allude to geographical difference of the constituency but within those regions as we put them we need to identify at least one or two things knowing that Rome was not built in one day gradual improvement is purely based on the leaders they chose. Let us not be throughout 5 years cycle politicking the politics of sycophancy but reminding our dear leaders in a respectful way that ABCD... Need attention and these leaders must equally be listening some are so rigid to advise. I like H.E Kenneth Makelo Lusaka the Governor of Bungoma County a man who knows what leadership is all about he is so humbled and takes advice as to whether he applies the advise or not ...is a debate for another day meanwhile his character are exemplary. Mgaala muue na haki umpe......we give credit where it is due.
I know for you to produce melodious music you play the white of the piano and the black of the piano and low and behold there is harmony and there is joy and thus happiness we have to live hopeful that all will be well for when the pandora box was opened only one thing remained........
Let's no spent the rest of our energy on what is already gone our focus be Put on other important issues. The finance bill should not take the whole of our lifetime fighting verbally and creating unnecessary enemity as though it was a life and death issue. Kenya is not ending today there are more touching issues to be addressed as a nation what we need to plead with H.E President William Ruto is to try and close all loopholes of money being looted from government sectors so that it improves the economy and in so doing he will be remembered fondly in history that despite having the populace lamented He is the President who rescued the nation from economical death. That lone is much better than Jewel and money
I am mindful of the good intention that some of our leaders have but only destroyed by surrounding circles hope they will critically be analyzing such advises before making informed decision
If this appears relevant then share it...
