MISGUIDED PHILOSOPHY OF COALITION GOVERNMENT IN KENYA

Before 2002 Kenya had undergone leadership of late President Jomo Kenyatta and his vice late Daniel moi who late took over as president in 1979 after the demise of his senior. Meanwhile Late President moi operated on the philosophy of Nyaoism that literally meant following footsteps of his kingmaster. Detailed scrutiny the two regime there was a similarity in it's operations I.e 

Discriminative allocation of resources 

Lack of equity in balancing of regions in terms of appointments 

Denial of certain rights and freedoms by some leaders 

Centralized assumption of knowledge and wisdom 

Intensive protection of presidency by ethnic groups and broad daylight assassination of those who posed a threat to their leadership. It was leaders owning leadership not people owning leaders. It was an ill advised governance whose mission was not serving the public but serving their interest latter day ETHEL RED THE UNREADY. Kingof England 

The late Mwai Kibaki having served under Moi as the finance minister and Vice President felt that the presidency lacked opinion free environment. Dictatorship in the governance and the party made Him ditch and formed DP through which he ran in 1997 while Kijana ran in Ford Kenya as Raila Odinga ran in LDP. Which he later dissolved and joined KANU.

Key opposition seemed to have an alternative agenda that brought them together in 2002 thus forming NAK. The team was later joined by forces from KANU which then changed the name to NARC. Majority of the members shelved their interest and frontier late President Mwai Kibaki and in so doing the coalition took power from KANU. It was an alternative faction that gave hope to the nation they really meant well for the country. In it initial service they put the country first. There was nationalism in the cabinet. Who were treated with respect not the street hiring and firing of ministers again .

For the first time since independence the economy grew to uncomparable scales in their nation.

Free primary education was introduced in Kenya which made many who had dropped out of school to get back even the aged ....

This team knew that to solve many problems arising in governance they had to amend the constitution and give institutions their independence and powers to operate without influence from executive arm of government. It therefore submitted to the nation the 2005 draft which was dropped through a referendum. 

Following this referendum the faction of leaders who engineered the campaigns against the draft led by Hon Raila Odinga winning by persuading the electorate to vote against (Chungwa) believed that they were the best option to govern in 2007. And having been joined by the legal opposition KANU that seemed to have split where some like Hon Uhuru Kenyatta followed the newly formed PNU while others like Hon William Ruto went to ODM. Despite joined a faction of ODM led by Hon Kalonzo Musioka moved alone forming ODM -K.

Purposeful alternative had shrunk and thus, leaders started fighting for their interests  "How do we get a chance to eat this cake?"  while the governance having lost focus planned on how they could remain in leadership. The country went into election in 2007  without any team having a priority of the interest of the common electorate but agenda was to serve their bossy greed. Democracy was not displayed and the ECK was manipulated thus justice denied.  Factually none of the choices presented them was ready to serve the people. Power had gotten into their head and they thought nothing but use the electorate to get what they wanted.

The country was left in tatters basing on ethnic banners and thus for peace to prevail co-leadership was the option thus through external intervention 50-50 power sharing was introduced. A governance that came with a lot of challenges since each one in the co-leadership between Prime minister Hon Raila Odinga and Late H.E Mwai Kibaki we're in a pull and push to satisfy his team. Corruption took root in government and electorate was left wondering ;

>what is the meaning of 50-50 power sharing to common mwananchi???

>how did the electorate get his/her 50-share? 

What was the benefit of power sharing solving the problem of poverty ??

Except to leaders getting their 50 share of position and looting of public resources.

Late president Kibaki realizing that he had gone in history of presidency and since his agenda to offer best alternative had been shuttered by co-governace he opted to let the ship go either way.

Following the post election violence of 2007 pausing threat and in finding ways of closing loopholes for recurrence of such Haque an international court jetted in. Where some key leaders became victims from both divide. They felt betrayed and thus circumstances put them to get her where they merged their newly formed parties TNA And URP to become Jubilee party.

Why did they decide to run together?  Being victims of Betrayal they were automatically put together by circumstance and convenience.

The other team formed CORD the 2013 general election had no agenda for the electorate the common man was not a concern of anyone in this game. 

The cards played were only known to participants and they mutually hid the card for mwananchi under the table..

Jubilee won the election but CORD being unsatisfied went to court though the results were upheld by the Supreme Court of the land. 

What did the new regime bring forth?  Very minimal since agenda was not the electorate but showing the opponent that we had a better strategy.

Cortuption had take root through and through. Jubilee almost seemed a rebranded Former KANU 

But as this cycle continued the electorate never got to understand that they we're being used.!!!!??

Jubilee maintained their position with the president and his Deputy maintaining the slogan kumi-yangu yako kumi. Where is the electorate in this argument???

Then NASA having changed from CORD following the joining of Hon Musalia Mudavadi were not satisfied.

They went to court the Supreme Court through CJ Maraga nulified the presidential results and ordered a rerun which the opposition boygotted demanding a direct win or some reform be done in IEBC Personale Jubilee ran a lone race and following the order IEBC observing the requirements the supreme upheld the results.

NASA opted to use a different alternative but the question is what was it that they felt they had to do that time was there any agenda in stock??? 

Hon Dr. Miguna miguna surfaced to national stage with NRM. He swore Hon Raila Odinga as the people's president an act that made him an enemy of the government but the action that resulted in a handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Hon Raila Odinga. It marked end of Jubilee as the then Deputy President Hon Ruto run parallel thus jubilee's agenda dismantled as in 5 years nothing constructive was done by the government to benefit the common mwananchi.

Plans for reforms again BBI was borough forward. An initiative whose prime agenda was to find how they can have all leaders inclusive but they were not talking how the electorate could benefit. Thanks to the high court that saw the venom in it and dropped it but the perpetrators were never satisfied they had to push the agenda hence went to appeal. Lawyers of good will rose in totality educate the public the real interpretation of the initiative through media.

Parliamentarians showed their immaturity by not speaking their minds statements such as " BBI is a document that was not well documented thus need amendmentsbut I vote YES"  sycophant of the highest order. Counsel of wisdom had parted our leaders 

Concern of the government was BBI and thus nothing constructive was done there was no watch dog to put the government to track hence theft was on the high rise. Those who seemed to oppose them then cases would be created against them and those who supported them became sanctified. IMPUNITY OF THE HIGHEST ORDER!!!!!!

 

OKA consisting of those who had been betrayed by NASA leader seemed apparent opposition but they were not consistent was it attention seeking?? Who knows.

 If NASA was fighting for the common man what did the electorate get?? 

Hon William Ruto seemed the opposition he mobilized the majority and formed a party UDA. As the others were in bed he was scheming for 2022 no one knows if the agenda was for rescuing the electorate.

Academia also sorted the leaders to stap back and ask the underlying question. Why were they elected??

1. Prof PLO Lumumba 

2. Dr Barrack Muluka 

They were everytime reminding our leaders to listen to the cries out to listen to themselves but none could listen.

OKA disintegrated  thus formation of Kenya kwanza and Azimio.

Kenya kwanza had their manifestation presented to Kenyan asking for consideration come the 2022 general election. Were they genuine ??

Azimio equally sorted chance presenting their manifest as well.... Genuine or not it is a public concern....

This circle of politicians using electorate and dropping the shell rebrand and come again is of utter continuam .....

How long shall this electorate be in this slumber?? Rip van winkle???

If This team cannot deliver as expected shall the electorate be lured again when persuaded after rebranding.....???

Why do Kenyan go into election???

Does the electorate know why there is term limit??

Why do electorate fail to interrrogate this leaders well.??

First step in solving this is by dismantling the ethinic kingpins and start viewing leaders as Kenyan...??

Something need to be done and be done soon!!!!

Let us remember why we got the above symbols let us stop second colonialism. By allowing leaders to colonies our minds.

Let's us interrogate why we change leaders for alternative service but not to complete the exercise since it is in constitution.
