A paradigm shift in the political circle in Kenya

As they say a good dancer should know when to leave stage, ......and as we look forward to see what the new dancers we just ushered to the stage have for their audience who are the electorate there are already some smoke seen in some leaders who require credit despite the short duration experienced so far.
As Alexandar Diop once said "Drink deep the western spring or taste no because a little moderlity is a dangerous thing"  I have taken a survey on some leaders whom were given the responsibility of representing them by the electorate....... And perhaps there is a reason why some may be celebrated. It is very clear that it isn't time to stay in politics immediately after an election cycle but fact is a politician will always keep politicking irrespective of period.
I wish to submit that kenyan politics is gradually undergoing a political revolution. This calls for a critical and keen observer to be able to notice such a great period of our life time. We have had politicians who's only business was personal interest!!!
I am very mindful that such leadership is still within .....but it's good to note that amongst the wolves we have sober individuals whose mission is on the paradigm shift. One may not notice this as such ...
Honorable Didmus Barasa an MP of Kimilili has introduced a new paradigm of a leaders who not only think about there well being but also consider eradicating poverty from his people as one of the urgent duties that need to be addressed. Such a leader wouldn't have been seen in the recent era. A leader who would go as far as enabling people within his reach to change there social life status quo. By firstly encouraging construction of houses for those who are in need.
To be particular the national government ought to have borrowed the idea of housing from the kimilili legislator though as to whether it is a priority to the approach applied by the NG is a debate but to Hon Didmus Barasa this was adopted and embraced by his people.
The face of kimilili constituency has changed completely in comparison to what it looked like 6years ago. Because it was in same scale as Other neighbouring constituencies like Tongaren and Webuye east even kabuchai but wisdom prevailed upon this young man whose mission was quite opposite to any other elected leader in this country. Basically it is a notion believed that political positions are meant for two reason:
1. You be elected so that you acquire wealth through corruption.
2. You be elected so that you protect the wealth you accumulated through dubious means.
The two are fundamental reasons why we go to compete for political positions. It is a doctrine that majority of the kenyan politician have and is believed to be inharitable once you join that circle even if when one was transparent that disease is handed down.
It is only this very legislator whose survey have indicated that he is still 98%original as he was in 2017 Hon Didmus Barasa has a heart of a real leader whose interest to go to office was not to get rich but serve his people. As the saying goes "one swallow doesn't make a summer,"  he served in the recent regime and his track record is way above his colleagues it is as though he used to get more funds in his kitty for development than others....... But no it is clearly evident that his mind was having his service delivery to his people met.
It is no wonder therefore he has become the most preferable successor of H.E the Governor of Bungoma county Hon Lusaka come 2027
As I said earlier that we are in paradigm shift changing the manner in which we choose this leaders. 75+ % of majority of the residents are now considering to elect a leader basing on the track record. "we have been electing leaders because of the size of the pocket during campaigns ....yes it was our undoing but this time we are saying NO!! We shall have to take your track record" majority of the Kenyan are claiming so.  This is a knowledge that ought be embraced by many and I doing that nationally Kenya will soon be either China or India which we're also colonies but since they chose to have responsible leaders.... Those countries are now among developed nations on earth and all was possible just because of choosing good leaders to political offices. Because that is the engine of good running affairs of a region.
Meanwhile there are some leaders who are mindful of why they were elected and keep track of what ought to be done. Despite them being a drop in the ocean we can sample a few. Hon MP Didymus Barasa is one of the very few individuals who know what political leadership is all about.
Kimilili constituency was once part of the tongaren during the era of mark Barasa, Elijah Mwangale, Dr Mukhisa Kituyi, Dr Eseli simiyu in 2007 before it was split to give two constituency.
After split kimilili got Murunga while Tongaren remained with Dr Eseli Simiyu. Meanwhile the people of kimilili made up their mind and made a choice and thus voted this visionary leader.
When the stroke if the pen Kimilili
constituency has developed rapidly. Roads in kimilili constituency are passable schools constructed to modern standard courtesy of this man Hon Didmus Barasa a MP for that part of the world. Residents ought to be happy for having elected a man who is vibrant and can stand and tell unruly , self- centered individuals right in the eyes that they are wrong. differed with many in ideologies but a sober man assessing it would conclude that he was right. Him being human like any other person is bound to mistake but like King David of the Bible who brought a lot of good to his people in Israel was mindful and prone to swaying a bit but would realize it and come back to track that is his greatness.
Hon Didmus Barasa is so social to the point of empathizing with his locals by constructing houses for them. Always keeping an eye to his constituency to note where a problem is and fix it. Majority of locals in other constituencies within Bungoma county mist particularly Tongaren constituency admire the way of operation if this selfless MP. Survey shows that following his track record if given candidature for leadership of this county come 2027 then he would move this county to a higher scale
He is sober and does his job for the benefit if the community not for his benefit and such leaders are what we are yearning for. Ralph waldo Emerson once said that if you make a better mousetrap than your neighbor even if you live in the woods they whole world will find a pitten path to your resident and that is exactly what is happening in Bungoma county .
The electorate is mature nowadays and will elect an individual for governorship on basis of track record and seemingly since Hon Didmus has shown interest in the same position he will get it with an overwhelming majority.
A leader who avoids the temptation of 5Ps will safe his people that we see most of them render their subjects to ;
1.Avoid being a victim of power
2.Avoid being a victim of property
3.Avoid being a victim of popularity
4.Avoid being a victim of prestige
5.Avoid being a victim of pomposity
The above are the key causes of poor performance of our people whom we have entrusted with the responsibility of leading us. "Whenever you find your house is dark don't complain just light the candle, ask your neighbor to equally light his/her candle and low and behold light will fill the room" mother Teresa of Calcutta said.
The light in kimilili constituency is lit... We are urging the neighboring constituencies to light their candles too and low and behold the county will be in light. But this is not abrra cadabrra and perhaps habits coming out if the bush No... Something ought be done urgently right from grassroots even our MCA's need to up the game in service delivery.
"Waswahili husema mgaala muue lakini haki umpe" Hon Didmus Barasa is fit and is doing well.
