Political leaders tend to be taking the wrong turn please come back to the right path.
Nearly 8months after the general election was concluded on August 9, 2023, the government both at the national and counties are yet to start implementing their policies to achieve the manifesto presented to the electorate during the concluded election campaigns. The majority of Kenyans are asking but why are we going delayed ??
The president of the Republic of Kenya
presented a very encouraging model ( bottom-up economic model) that the majority of Kenyans would like to see implemented. How would such be done if the country that was handed over was broke? Mobilization of resources from internal and external investing has become a challenge following the political conflicts that are being experienced. Days in and days out we hear of demonstrations being arranged by the opposition.
The opposition feels aggrieved following the fact that they believe to have won the election. In this pull and push the common citizen is left to wonder if in truth it was the interest of the nation of politicians who were very interested in their gain. The opposition has hard lines as the government as though they own the nation inclusive of us the electorate. It is high time to remind leaders that they only have to understand that the sovereignty power belongs to the citizens. And the bottom line of reality is that citizens need service delivery.
Down the line salaries have not been paid to government employees, and money is not devolved as it ought to be the reason the nation is struggling to get funding. For how long shall we stay in waiting? For how long shall the employees render services to the government in debt? Then we are told that we demonstrate. When the demonstrators have slept on an empty stomach and the kingpins leading those demos appear in V8s then somebody must be fooling the other.
We must be used to help someone fix his agenda. In 2017 -2018 history is replete with references after the handshake what did the common citizen get? Nothing today the same approach is being applied to plunge us into the same mix we should say no.
The appeal to the government is that let's have food on the table at an affordable price and let the economy be beefed up. Let us see that Kenya Kwanza fulfills its promises by implementing the bottom-up economic model. Let us see things running
We want resources relayed to the counties and things move we are as if the nation is in slumber "Rip Van Winkle" For how long shall the counties be waiting for resources? What of constituencies?
My appeal to the close allies of the president and the Kenya Kwanza government kindly note that the cost of living is way too high. Please do something to the price of essential commodities to help citizens be able to survive.
To the media who are like the later-day town criers as Dr. Barrack Muluka puts it who are the bearers of the torch show the custodians of the shrine the path whenever they seem to be off track. The academies, professors, and learned individuals kindly join in advising and talking about the state of the nation.
Palo prof Lumumba always refers to a statement made by Mahatma Gandhi who said that if the education that you acquire does not change your critical way of thinking and problem-solving on very key issues as this then you are no better than the shirt won in the morning and removed in the evening.
Our nation and citizens need services from those we bestowed power to serve us right from the presidency to the MCAs for that is what we mandate you to do.
